How to Automate Subtasks in ClickUp

Part 1: Creating a Task Template

  1. Go to Client Card

  2. Create a task and then create your desired sub task or sub list then click Save

  3. Then right click the task you just created ➝ Click Template Center ➝ Click Save as Template

  4. Then change status of the task to complete.

Part 2: Creating the sublist automation

  1. Click Automate which can be found on the upper right hand corner of ClickUp

  2. Click Add Automation and copy the following setting:

When Task Created ➝ Then Apply Template ➝ Select the template you created in Part 1 ➝ Click Create

  1. Test your automation
